The Pop Star Portrays a Hell Version of Her Own Identity in Satirical Film First Look
Charli XCX is gearing up for a substantial cinematic presence in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, Charli plays what she calls as a hell version of her public image.
It’s the realest depiction of the music industry that I’ve ever encountered, Charli commented.
She elaborated in a conversation: This isn’t a concert film, but the idea originated from the pressure to make one.
A Glimpse into The Project
The debut trailer, launched on this week, mixes real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with made-up off-stage interactions.
The Moment is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who explained that the narrative centers on a world where the singer took completely different paths during the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.

She also signed on to appear in Dakota Johnson’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.
I’m thoroughly loving my foray into acting, she stated. I’m incredibly motivated currently in this area, and I always want to do projects that excite me.
