The England manager Criticizes Wembley Crowd Support Following Dominant Win Over Wales.

The England head coach shared his regret that the England team did not receive stronger backing from the home spectators during their decisive 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday evening.

Tuchel was satisfied to see his squad showcase their strong performance, with finishes from Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Saka inside the first 20 minutes settling the game. But, he was not content with the energy at the iconic venue.

“We had one and a half sessions to get ready against a organized team and we excelled,” Tuchel stated. “We could have been 5-0 up at the break. We missed the fourth and fifth goals. It was quiet. There was no support back from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“How much more can you provide in the first quarter? We prevented them get away. If you hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it’s disappointing because the team warranted better encouragement today.”

“I maintain this statement. There’s nothing more than leading three goals up in a rivalry match. I would have wished for a little more support in phases where it is challenging.”

“In the second half, to support us, there was excessive backing for the opposition. It might have aided us to recharge, but that’s football and so be it.”

Squad Decisions Justified by Performance

Away from potentially starting a fight with fans, the manager also raised eyebrows by excluding Bellingham and Foden from his squad. However the choice was backed up by Morgan Rogers impressing again in the No 10 position and scoring his maiden goal for his country.

“He is what he is,” the head coach explained. “He operates as an attacking midfielder and he is competing for his spot.”

Bellamy Hopes for Lessons from Loss

The Wales manager hopes that his team, who host a strong Belgian side in a important World Cup qualifier on Monday, learn from their awful performance in the opening period.

“This is why I wanted this friendly,” Bellamy commented. “I wanted to assess our standing. Where do we want to go? What is our identity? Today gives me drive.”

Injury Concern for Watkins

Watkins was substituted at the break after clattering into a post and is a concern when the national team face their next opponents in the Latvian capital in a World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday.
