Helicopter Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring over a popular southern California beach abruptly started spinning out of control, finally dropping height and smashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Videos uploaded on social media depict the helicopter commencing to spiral above the beach then descending towards the border of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
